Someone made the comment to me today (this has happened many times) that they don't like Queen + Paul Rodgers because the original Queen was better with Freddie and John.
That sort of comment makes my blood boil!!!
Why do people persist in comparing Queen with Queen + Paul Rodgers? They aren't trying to be "Queen", the original and only "Queen" with Freddie and John!!
Q+PR are a group in their own right and deserve to be recognised as such and I really love listening to them and watching them play, especially the old Queen songs. My admiration for Brian and Roger runs very deep and whether they're preforming in a group or solo, I'd crawl over glass to see them.
Paul ISN'T trying to replace Freddie, why would he!!! He is a great singer and songwriter himself and doesn't need to try to be anybody else.
Let them be themselves and hopefully when they bring out their new album, this comparision rubbish might be put to rest.
