In a fitting tribute to one of the iconic pop/rock acts of the last 50 years, Orchestra Victoria is combining talent with some of the most exceptional Australian musicians and vocalists to present an evening of 'Killer' Queen.

 With no less than a 52 piece symphony orchestra, 5 vocalists and a plugged in 'rock' band, Orchestra Victoria Rocks Queen presents the music of one of the world's most loved bands, with fans spanning several generations.

From the classic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' to 'The Show Must Go On', 'Somebody to Love', 'You're My Best Friend', 'Under Pressure' and 'We Will Rock You'; Queen's incredible music catalogue still forms the backbone of classic rock and pop radio around the world.

Orchestra Victoria will work with a plugged in band and a selection of vocalists to deliver stirring, innovative renditions and interpretations of some of Queen's biggest selling tracks on a scale not seen before in Melbourne.

The Melbourne performance partner of The Australian Ballet, Opera Australia, Victorian Opera and The Production Company, Orchestra Victoria is dedicated to making music for all Victorians and is one of Australia's busiest orchestra, delivering around 200 performances to almost 250,000 people throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria each year.

The band is made of some of Australia's finest musicians & includes guitarist Simon Croft from the Queen musical "We Will Rock You" which toured Australia & Japan.

Five of the country's most versatile vocalists including Dale Ryder from Boom Crash Opera, will re-create the rich harmonies and musical textures of many of Queen's greatest hits like you have never heard them live before!

Queen's music is timeless and will continue to ROCK YOU like no other in this spectacular concert where every orchestral instrument will be mic'd and amplified to go toe to toe with the roar of the guitars and drums.
